As per usual, I’ve been collecting books at a faster pace than I can finish them. Oftentimes, I’m meandering through the bookstore when a shiny new book catches my attention and then I somehow rationalize adding it to my tottering “to read” book pile instead of buying it after I’m finished with said book pile. These are a select few that I am currently reading/ hoping to start soon:   1. High Noon: The Hollywood Blacklist and the Making of an American Classic This is the book that I am currently the closest to actually finishing. I am a huge fan of the movie High Noon. I would go so far as to make the bold claim that it is my favorite movie of all time. I just intrinsically identify with Will Kane’s lone wolf stand against evil men while the rest of the town finds excuses to shy away from the conflict. It really gets to the heart of human nature. The book admittedly spends a lot of time investigating the Hollywood blacklisting that occurred around the time that High Noon was made, but it adds a great deal of context to the movie.
